Within the residency exchange program with the Kyoto Art Center, the Quartier am Hafen proudly presents:
Alina Zhdanova Open Studio
“ALBUM”
Alina Zhdanova, born in Russia, raised in Japan. Video artist, express by stop motion animation. Using memories as a motif, create works that seem to dialogue with the viewer’s memories. Participating in the Artist Exchange Program between Kyoto Art Center and Quartier am Hafen, staying in Cologne from June to July.
She interviewed different people who living in Cologne about their memories, their childhood. Based on these memories, created a story. The work expressed the diversity of the world, which is how different and how the same people are.
