Title: Dialogue in Printmaking
Locations: Lima, Seoul, New York
“Dialogue in Printmaking” will showcase works by 122 printmakers from 4 continents, an exhibition of work including many talented artists. They represent a wide array of contemporary and traditional printmaking processes, techniques, and an open dialogue that stems from a shared artist studio. Through a breadth of philosophies and sensibilities, these artists share a connection through a common studio practice that creates thematic, cultural, and process-based tribulations and resolutions.
This exhibition aims to show the printmaker’s interpretation of global and personal events, parallel to the influence of a group, team or community – a dynamic unique to printmakers and printmaking workshop spaces. The groupings of work from each country represent hubs for creativity and various responses to unique cultural settings. It emphasizes the importance of exchanging knowledge, ideas and cognitive thought in image making.
